Betty Jo Buck

Jay, OK - Betty Jo Buck was born January 18, 1926 in Jay, OK. She was the daughter of Helen Aubrey and Cal E. Dooley. Betty died Monday, December 7, 2009 at the age of 83 in Springdale, AR. She was lifetime resident of Delaware County working as a clerk in the Delaware County Treasurer Office before retiring. She was a member of Women of the Moose and served as a Guide. Betty was member of the First Baptist Church in Jay.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 10 at the First Baptist Church in Jay, OK at 1:00 p.m under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK from 6:00 �" 8:00.
She married Denzil Garland Brown on September 30, 1943 in Richmond, California. Later they made their home in Jay, OK. Two children were born of this marriage, JoNell and Barbara Brown. Denzil preceded her in death on March 3, 1976.
Betty married Henry “Hank” Buck on August 15, 1982 in Grove, OK. They made their home in Jay, OK. Hank preceded Betty in death on January 3, 2004.
She is survived by two children, Barbara Bridgeman of Tuscaloosa, Al and husband Billy Bridgeman; JoNell Morris of Jay, OK; two step sons Joe Buck and wife Gayla of Terre Haute, Ind., Larry E. Buck and wife Susan of Ponca City; two grandchildren Dr. Robby Guinn and wife Amy Guinn and Lisa Weems and husband LeRoy Weems, both of Jay; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorials be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR.
