Kathalene Snider, 83 is walking the streets of gold as she left this world Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Grove Integris Hospital.
She was born on April 17, 1926 to Arthur Jacobs and Maggie Opal Jacobs in Joplin, Missouri.
Kathalene Jacobs was married to the love of her life John Eugene Snider on August 20, 1945 in Columbus, Kansas. They were married for 41 glorious years
The Snider home grew with the adoption of a newborn daughter, Linda Ann on December 24, 1954. Seven and ½ years later the Snider family was made complete with the adoption of an 18 mo. Old daughter, Carolyn Sue born on November 11, 1960.
Kathalene was thrilled to provide her family with a beautiful clean home, and carefully prepared hot healthy meals, as well as managing her husband’s successful construction business “Bid John’s Heavy Equip. Inc.” in Joplin, Missouri.
Shortly after successfully raising her daughters, Kathalene made the mover to their Grove lakefront home to enjoy the lake, the pelicans and time with her husband. She also began to point gorgeous oil pictures and porcelain baby dolls. She also enjoyed volunteer work as a Cherry Red for many years.
Kathalene is survived by stilled loved by her daughter and her husband of Grove, Carolyn and John Funk, grandson Jesse Funk of Grove, granddaughter and her husband of Butler, Missouri, Julie and Ryan Burk, great grand-children Wesley Ryan Burk, 4 and Alice Juliete Burk, 2.
Meeting Kathalene on the streets of gold, preceding her in death are her husband, John, oldest daughter Linda, grandchildren, Amy and Christina, and her mother, father and older brother Leonard.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening October 13, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the home of the daughter and her husband, Carolyn and John Funk; 1768 Beacon Point Circle, Grove. Call 918-786-6769 for directions.
A Graveside Memorial service will be conducted under the personal care of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., at New Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma.
