Condolences

Condolence From: J. Bell
Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. May the outpouring of sympathy, and the kind acts of friends and strangers, give you the comfort needed to endure the days ahead. May you find comfort from the bible. In particular the scripture found at Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Condolence: We were all very sad when Mert was facing all his challenges with cancer and we were heartened to see him regathering strength and come back down to the river. Golden Dragons was better with his kind, friendly presence.
We were sorry to see Mert leave Portland but happy to see him happy!
He left the world a better place. Susan

Condolence: Mert and I met while dragon boating with the Golden Dragons. He was wonderful to have as a paddler, steersman, coach and friend. When my husband had his colon removed and we were getting ready for a race, he asked me EVERY DAY, how he was! Mert has always been a very thoughtful and kind person. He is missed by all. hb

Condolence: So very saddened by the news of Mert's passing. After all that he and Bonnie have endured over the last year, we had so hoped his life would soon be cancer free. He came in to our life way too late, but the friendship we shared for 10 years was much appreciated. He was an amazing man who loved his family and his little buddy, Toby. He & Bonnie's life together was cut way too short. Thank you, Mert, for being a brother to us. May you rest in peace, pain free, keeping an angel eye on all of us.
