Roy L. Boyd, age 82, died on Monday June 13, 2011 at the Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma.

Roy was born on March 20, 1931 in Joplin, Missouri. He was the son of Roy Harold and Edna (Lewis) Boyd. Roy passed away at a very young age, Edna later married Ivan Boone. Roy was an avid coon hunter and enjoyed fishing. He worked for over thirty years for Gold Building Supply Company. He also worked as a carpenter in construction and had an insulation bussiness. Roy was united in marriage to Betty (Gordon) Boyd, who preceded him in death in 2009.

Roy was also preceded in death by his wife Betty Boyd, a son Roger Boyd, three brothers Tom Boyd, Jim Boyd, Robert Boyd a sister Norma Seward.

Survivors include his children Richard Boyd of Carterville, Missouri, Ron Boyd of Springfield, Missouri, Colleen Spear of Dime Box, Texas, Roy Boyd and his wife Tracie of Gulf Port, Mississippi, Ryan Boyd of Webb City, Missouri, Randy Boyd and his wife Terri of Grove, Oklahoma, Robert Boyd also of Grove a brother Mike Boone and sister Pat Boone, twenty-one grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mr. Boyd will be on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma with Brother Mike Bridges officiating.

Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
