Obituary for Linda West

Linda Kay West, resident of Grove, OK, passed away in her home surrounded by family, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the age of 65.

Linda was born on April 2, 1947 in Delaware, OK to Leonard Harold McKee and Mary Jane (McClure) McKee. She grew up and attended school in Lenapah, OK. Later graduating with an associates from the Southeast Kansas Area Vocational School. She was a Lifetime Member of VFW post 3399, Ladies Auxiliary in Oswego, KS. She spent seven years employed by the Parsons Eye Clinic as a surgery consultant under Dr. Terry Rothstein. For the last seven years she was employed by the Grove Public Schools System.

She married the love of her life Daniel Paul West Jr. on December 20, 1971 in Wichita, KS. She was an exceptional gardener, enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, but most of all she loved to be around her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Larry Ray Coppock and Daniel Paul West III; and one sister Donnie Lew McKee.

Survivors include her husband Dan of the home, son Ben Coppock of Oswego, KS, daughters Cammy Allison of Independence, KS, Mary May West of Tulsa, Ok, Sonya Olvera of Tulsa, OK, sisters Carolyn Kellogg of Decatur, NE, Marylyn Joyce Scott of Bartlesville OK, Connie Wilson of Parsons, KS, brothers Lloyd Mckee of Collinsville, OK and Terry Joe McKee of Lenapah, OK, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Linda will be 2:00p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Edna Cemetery with Mr. Mark Linn, officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday evening, May 3, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. The arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK.
