Obituary for Michael Scott Teehee

Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, OK (918) 256-5555.......Michael Scott Teehee, passed away on January 15, 2019 at his home in Vinita, OK surrounded by family and friends. Michael was born on April 23, 1969 in Claremore, OK to John and Lydia (Dawson) Teehee.
Michael graduated from Jay High School in 1987 and attended Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS. He worked at Cinch for several years, but his last years were spent as a custodian at the Cherokee Nation Vinita Health Center where he loved sharing his gifts of art and comedy with his coworkers. He gave his life to Christ and was baptized at the cowboy church in Nowata, OK. Michael was a talented artist and musician. He was an award-winning artist and has left his mark on this world through many forms of art. Michael loved playing music and has been a member of many bands throughout his life. His most recent band was the Gravediggers Joke Book where he played guitar. Michael had fond memories of growing up at Beaty Creek in Jay, OK but his favorite times were spent with his son Zane and his family. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lydia (Dawson) Teehee; brother, John Teehee Jr. and sister, Nora Justice.
Michael is survived by his son, Zane Earp of Vinita, OK; Zane’s mother, Becky Earp of Tulsa, OK; three sisters, Sharon Dawes of Baxter Springs, KS; Sondra Smith and Sandra Teehee of Jay, OK; and one brother, Tom Teehee and wife Juanita of Jay, OK, along with many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Thursday January 17, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita, OK. Funeral services will be held at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm on Friday January 18, 2019. Michael will be laid to rest at Round Springs Cemetery in Eucha, OK immediately following the funeral service. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, OK.
