Life Story for Betty Louise Hindman (Alexander)

Betty Louise (Alexander) Hindman, 85, passed away Friday January 11, 2019 at the Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

She was born November 11, 1933 to Aubrey Lee Alexander and Iva Mae (Gatten) Alexander in Bixby, Oklahoma. She received her education from College High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Terry Hindman Sr. on January 4, 1957 and they made their home in Nowata where they raised their children.

Betty enjoyed volunteering for the 1033 ambulance services where she was an EMT, dispatcher and Red Cross instructor. She loved devoting time at her church (First Baptist Church in Nowata) where she taught Sunday School classes, participated in making sleeping mats for the homeless and was a part of the WMU. Betty had a heart of gold and offered a tremendous amount of love.

Betty was a wonderful mother and a dedicated wife. She made sure her family was well cared for and loved spending time with family and friends.

Betty is survived by husband Terry Hindman Sr. of the home, two siblings; Tom Alexander of Bartlesville and Claudia Feeler Joslin of Cheyenne, Wyoming, three children; Ronnie Hindman and wife Amy of Ochelata, Oklahoma, Bill Hindman and Tommy of Edmond, Oklahoma, Terry Hindman Jr. of Nowata, Oklahoma, ten
grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Aubrey Lee Alexander and Iva Mae (Gatten) Alexander; one brother Melvin Alexander; two children, Bobby Hindman and Diana (Hindman) LaBarr, and 2 grandchildren.
