Corinne Hutchison, age 95 and longtime resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 29, 2018.

Corinne Jensen was born February 1, 1923 in Marion, Indiana. She was the daughter of Marinus Kristian “Martin” Jensen and Ola Estella (Giltner) Jensen. At the age of two years old, she moved with her family to Bartlesville. Corinne attended Jeffferson and McKinley elementary schools and graduated in the first graduating class from College High School in 1940. She continued her education by attending Bartlesville Junior College for one year and then was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company in the Land & Geological Department.,

On May 2, 1942, Corinne and William M. “Bill” Hutchison were united in marriage in Bartlesville. While Bill was in the service during WWII, she was employed by Phillips in the Production Department. Upon Bill’s honorable discharge from the military, they moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma where both completed their college education at Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University). She received a B.A. degree in psychology in 1948.

While in college, Corinne was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Gamma Mu honorary societies. From 1949 until 1961, she was a secretary in the Legal Department of Phillips. From 1961 until her retirement in 1985, she was secretary to the Sr. Vice President and General Counsel of Phillips Petroleum Company.

Corinne was a member of First Christian Church of Bartlesville; Christian Women’s Fellowship; and a charter member of Bartlesville Knitting Guild. Bill preceded Corinne in death on November 8, 2005. They had been married for 63 years.

A memorial fund has been established for the First Christian Church Endowment Fund (520 S. Osage, Bartlesville, OK 74003) for friends who wish to remember Corinne in this way.

Corinne is survived by six nieces and two nephews; one step-sister; and other nieces and nephews on Bill’s side of the family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Norma (Jensen) Tillotson; and by her husband, Bill.

Come and go visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave.

Services for Corinne will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM, in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral home chapel. Interment will follow the service in Memorial Park Cemetery next to her husband, Bill, and her mother.
