Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita - Donny Lee McGuire, 52, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in Rogers. He was born June 26, 1966 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bill Don and Edna Mae (Orm) McGuire. Donny was very proud that he was born at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center and he could truly say he was Sooner Born. He graduated from the Antlers High School Class of 1984 and continued his education with American Broadcasting School where he graduated with an associate degree. On October 24, 1986 Donny married the love of his life, Tammy Jones in Vinita. Donny’s career as a radio personality afforded him many opportunities to meet people and become friends with many. He loved his profession and was able to help others thru the Make A Wish Foundation, United Way, Special Olympics and many others. He loved working many events with his Company, The Big Show Traveling D.J. Donny became known as the Voice of the Cedarville, Arkansas Pirates, an honor he had for over ten years. He served as the sound many for several personalities as well as many organizations and events. He enjoyed cruising and was a member of Nash Back at Ya Car Club, and the Saved by Grace Church in Springdale, Arkansas. Donny and Tammy hosted 16 foreign exchange students over the years. He was a very loving and giving man that loved everyone. Donny will be missed by all his family and friends.
Preceding Donny in death are his parents, Bill and Edna McGuire. Survivors include his wife, Tammy McGuire of the home; children, Renae Elizabeth McGuire of Vinita, Marshall Alan McGuire, of Rogers, Arkansas, Kelsey Himes of Muldrow, Kyle Himes of Muldrow; one grandchild, Aaron Alan McGuire, of Antlers; siblings, Mary Jean DeZuani and husband Ivo of Noble, Oklahoma, Billy Lloyd McGuire of Noble, Marshall Dewayne and wife Virginia of Antlers, Anna (Bonnie) Lavon Malone of Panama, Oklahoma; sister in law , Missy Wakefield of Vinita, brother in law, Tracy Jones of So. Carolina; a very proud uncle to many nieces, nephews; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Donny will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Vinita, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Ghormley Cemetery near Pensacola, Oklahoma.
