Worley-Luginbulel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. Danny Ronald Guinn was born June 24, 1945 to Clarence and Opal Guinn in Grove, Oklahoma. He graduated from Jay High School in 1963 and continued his education at Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Danny married Janice Kay Gardner on June 14, 1969, in Fairland, Oklahoma. They had four daughters, Denise Renee, Dana Kay, Danielle Diane, and Darla Jean.

In 1970, Danny graduated from NEO A&M School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. He worked at Guinn Nursing Homes in Jay, Oklahoma from 1968-1997. Over the years, he held many titles, including bookkeeper, nurse, director of nurses, and administrator. He earned his nursing home administrator’s license at Oklahoma University in 1976. Danny worked in quality control at a home health agency in Southwest City, Missouri, and he also worked as a nurse at nursing homes in Grove and Miami, Oklahoma. He worked as an administrator of Shady Rest Nursing Home in Pryor, Oklahoma and Southern Oaks Nursing Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma before retiring in 2004.

Danny was a talented drummer and played in bands before his marriage. He loved music, and he co-founded NEO Music Productions in the 1980s. He produced concerts at Joplin, Missouri, the Oklahoma Nursing Home conventions, NEO A&M College, Anderson, Missouri, and numerous Huckleberry Festivals in Jay, Oklahoma. Through the years, he made many friends in the music industry. He became a member of the Country Music Association and attended two CMA awards programs during the 1980s as a voting member.

Danny was a member of the Church of Christ in Jay, Oklahoma, where he attended as a child and young adult. He joined the Baptist faith at Jay First Baptist Church in 1996. Danny went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2018, at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife, Janice of the home, his daughters, Denise White (Johnny Stroud), Dana Scott, Danielle Guinn, and Darla Tanner (Jacob); eight grandchildren, Eric White (Cheyenne), Zoe Bearpaw (Jacob), Jailen McGinnis (Maxwell), Gracie Scott, Brayden Pike, and Tatum, Trey, and Taylon Tanner; two great-grandchildren, Kannon White and Jazzi Yahola; brother, Charles Guinn; sister, Kathy Wilson (Nick); brother-in-law, Randy Gardner (Sharon); sister-in-law, Pam Satchell (Adrian); several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, two brothers-in-law, three nephews, and mother and father-in-law.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 pm, Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Jay Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, August 13, 2018 at Jay First Baptist Church with Pastor Johnnie Faught officiating. Danny will be laid to rest in the Fairland Cemetery in Fairland, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
