Obituary for Rosella Jane "Rosie" Roberts (Mouse)
Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222.Rosella "Rosie" Jane Roberts passed away on February 14, 2018 at her home in Colcord, Oklahoma. She was one week shy of her 77th birthday.
She was the widow of Clarence Roberts, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.
Rosie was born February 20, 1941 in Colcord to parents Curtis and Sarah Mouse. She was a member of the Keetoowah tribe. She wed Clarence on May 3, 1959 in Pineville, MO. Together they had seven children. Rosie worked for Peterson's for 8 years. She later dedicated her time to caring for her late husband and family.
For the last 17 years she served as a classroom Grandma at Colcord Elementary where she worked in the special education class.
Rosie is survived by her loving partner of 15 years, Alfred Nix of Kansas, OK; seven children: Mickey Roberts of Decatur, AR; Ricky Roberts and wife, Nora, of Colcord, OK; Greg Roberts of Siloam Springs, AR; Mark Roberts and wife, Marilyn, of Colcord, OK; Roseann Andrews and husband, Rick of Watts, OK; Priscilla Strickland and husband Wendell, of Colcord, OK; and Sheri Roberts of Siloam Springs; brother Wayne Mouse and wife, Charlotte, of Colcord, OK; brother Floyd Mouse and wife, Debbie, of Colcord, OK; sister Shirley Jones of Colcord, OK, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters, husband Clarence, grandson Jamie Roberts, and great-granddaughter Riley Warth.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon, February 18, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma .Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Greg Baskins on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 1 pm at Colcord Community Center with internment at Clouds Creek Cemetery.
