Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma, 918-253-3222. ABillie Mae Beesley, 86 year old resident of Jay, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 13, 2017 at Monroe Manor.

Billie was born on September 7, 1931 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of William Jefferson and Altha Mae (Taylor) Shrum. She graduated from Dickson High school at the age of 16 as the Valedictorian in the class of 1948. She was united in marriage to Thomas Willard Beesley on September 10, 1949 in Gainsville Texas. Billie worked in hospital and clinic administration for over 50 years. Billie and her family moved to Jay in 1965 to work as the comptroller of Jay Memorial hospital when it opened. After the hospital closed, she worked for Cherokee Nation at the Sam Hider Clinic in various roles. She retired from the dental clinic at Sam Hider in 2014 at the age of 82. She was long time member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother Walter Eugene Shrum, Sisters; Ida Iona Shrum and Opal Love, daughter in-law; Margaret Hope Beesley. She is survived by her two sons; Travis Willard Beesely of Jay, Oklahoma and Greg Eugene Beesley and his wife Haushawnnah of Jay, Oklahoma. Billie was blessed with four grandchildren; Brittie Lee Oakley, Jess Travis Beesley and wife Victoria, Charity Anne Beesley, Josh Michael Purvis, and ten great grandchildren; Aspen, Emma, Jessica, Willard, Curtis, Benjamin, Kaitilynn, Cadence, Autumn, and Lucas.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-6 pm, Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 18, 2017 at the First Assembly of God of Jay. Billie will be laid to rest in Duffield Cemetery.
